Brain Parade Rest
When I was in the band, there was a command called “Parade Rest”. It simply meant that you were prepared for movement, but you had time to relax before you were called to attention. Now proof of living is the ability for your brain to provide you with some type of direction as to where you are and where you should be. I should be grateful, correct? Eh...I am. It’s just that I want a moment where I can literally think of nothing. I can just picture stars on a black canvas called night. Unfortunately, I don’t have one of those minds that just “stops” and daydreams. I’m always busy, and that’s a trait I’ve had since I was a child. I do admit that I need to figure out how to get my mind to parade rest before wear myself out.
